Emily has a multidisciplinary background in computer science and international studies. After graduating from the University of Michigan, she worked as a software engineer for three years with Workday before starting with Exygy. Civic tech has always been front and center for her - she wrote her thesis about it, and has volunteered with both Code for America and Develop for Good. Her passion lies in building sustainable solutions to big problems, and focusing on how to help everyday people in meaningful ways. When she's not developing, you can find Emily playing with her dog Bandit, making digital art, building replica fantasy worlds in Minecraft, or snowboarding in Colorado.
